The Tiger 5

Tiger Woods tracked five mistakes in a round, on the theory that avoiding them matters more than making birdies. A scorecard has no room for them, and a pencil is no good in a glove.

The Nearby screen: five golf courses found near the phone, nearest first, with No Course below them
Start 9 or 18. Name the course from the five nearest, or don't. Tick what went wrong, or nothing. Every round is kept.

Nothing leaves your phone

No account and nothing to sign in to. The app makes one kind of network connection, and only when you ask: tap Find Courses Near Me on the first tee and it asks Apple Maps for the courses near you. Your rounds stay on your phone. The privacy policy is one page because there is little to disclose.

The “Tiger 5” is the name golf instructor Scott Fawcett gave these five mistakes in his DECADE course-management system, after the stat Tiger Woods kept. Staton Golf is not affiliated with either.
